How to check on Windows
  1. Open PowerShell.
  2. Run the command below. When asked, paste the full path to your downloaded file, without quotation marks.
  3. Compare the value under Hash with the fingerprint above. Uppercase and lowercase letters mean the same thing.
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 -LiteralPath (Read-Host 'Paste downloaded file path')

For a ZIP download, check the ZIP itself, before extracting it.

Matches: your file is identical to ours.
Does not match: download it again and recheck before using it.

Technical name: SHA-256 checksum. This checks file integrity, not whether the app is virus-free.
